# Rocketlane - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Rocketlane, you will need:

1. **API Key** — A key that grants Nango permission to interact with Rocketlane's API resources and services.

This guide will walk you through generating your API Key within Rocketlane.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have a registered Rocketlane account with permission to generate an **API Key**.

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Generating Your API Key

1. Log in to your Rocketlane account, click on your profile, then click **Settings**.

2. Navigate to **API**, click on the **Create API Key** button.

3. Enter a name, and click **Add**.

<Tip>Once your **API Key** is generated, make sure to copy it immediately, as it will be displayed only once. The permissions of API Keys match those of the user who created them.</Tip>

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have the **API Key**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Rocketlane.
2. Enter your **API Key** in its designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
