# Trustpilot (Client Credentials) - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Trustpilot, you need:

1. **API Key** - The API key from your Trustpilot Business application.
2. **API Secret** - The secret key from your Trustpilot Business application.

This guide walks you through creating an application and obtaining your credentials in the Trustpilot Business account.

### Prerequisites

* You must have a [Trustpilot Business](https://business.trustpilot.com) account with access to the API module. If your account doesn't have API access yet, [request access from Trustpilot](https://business.trustpilot.com/request-demo).

### Instructions

#### Step 1: Create an application and get your credentials

1. Log in to your Trustpilot Business account.
2. Go to **Integrations** -> **Developers** -> **APIs**.
3. Under **Your Applications**, select **Create Application**.
4. Give the application a name and confirm creation.
5. Use the eye icon to reveal, or the copy icon to copy, your **API Key** and **API Secret**.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your **API Key** and **API Secret**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Trustpilot.
2. Enter your **API Key** and **API Secret** in their designated fields.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.
