# Holded (v2) - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Holded's v2 API, you will need:

1. **API Key** – A key that grants Nango permission to interact with the Holded API on your behalf.

This guide explains how to generate one from your Holded account.

### Prerequisites

* An active Holded account.

### Instructions

#### Step 1: Generate an API key

1. Log in to your Holded account and go to [**Settings → API**](https://app.holded.com/home#settings:/settings/developers/credentials).
2. Click **+ New API Token**.

3. Enter a name and select the permissions you want to grant this token.
4. Click **Create token** to generate it.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Holded.
2. Enter your **API Key** in the API Key field.
3. Submit the form to complete authentication.

You are now connected to Holded.
